Word Seeds

I know that as women, we at times blurt out every emotion and thought we are feeling, well at least I have. However, I have found that the more I’ve blurted out and gave audience to my emotions they grew. My seeds of emotions grew into emotional mush and so did I.

When God descended from Heaven and took on human flesh to teach us about the power of our words, He knew how important they were for he was the Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. It is written that life and death are in the power of the tongue, this makes it very clear the seeds of our words create life and death, furthermore, it is expressed like this. “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing”.

So what comes out of our mouth creates and manifest the things we speak. As a woman thinks in her heart, so is she. Ever had a hurtful miscommunication and said more than was needed? Perhaps destroyed a good relationship? The written Word explains it like this, whoever keeps her mouth and her tongue keeps herself out of trouble.

So, what is the solution to the female emotional beings that we are? Words! My daughters pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them in your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it.

​

In closing, let me share with you what I’ve learned and learned the hard way. Growing up in a world where I was taught to follow my feelings, my emotions, and heart, I did exactly that and in all transparency I cannot recall one good decision that was made from this position. I doubt any of us can.

​

My solution once again came from words. He sent out his word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. If we plant the word of God in our hearts, it has to produce. An apple seed produces an apple tree and all seeds produce their own kind. Can you imagine your thoughts and words aligned with the creator of the universe? It is possible.

The more word seeds from the living Word of God we plant within us and meditate on day and night, so we can observe to do according to all that is written therein we shall have good success.

That is a promise in my life I would like to attain. We have the greatest word seeds ever written, let’s grow the crop of the eternal, effective and prosperous truth.
